Hey Y'all,

Thought I'd check in, since i reached such an auspicious number of pageviews!
Thanks to you all for the watches, faves and most of all your kind words! It keeps me going sometimes to know I'm not just shooting into the dark (if you know what i mean...)

In other news: I just finished my first week at my new job, I'm working in this great art supply store a short walk from my house. It's a ramshackle old place filled with lovely interesting people. Its quite stressful though, as I'm not used to thinking on the job, and there is a lot to learn! (mostly I've been scraping plates for a buck) but it's nice to have a 'respectable' job and to actually have some money for a change...I get wholesale prices too!

The downside is WAY less time to make art. but I guess I've been spoiled rotten with free time for too long now. Gotta balance some of that out i suppose (and repay some of my debts...) And I've been thinking maybe that it will make me value my time a bit more and help me concentrate on what needs to be done (like some more comics...)

Things are going well on the art front, a local gallery/art shop is stocking some of my drawings and comics, and tomorrow night I take part in the annual 'Works on Paper' show at the Brunswick Street Gallery. Next Wednesday I'm hoping to win big bucks at the 'International Skull Drawing Competition' in the city. That night also bodes good times, as two of my best friends are moving to town!

Man, I started this journal feeling a bit low, but i guess everything is OK in my little world!
